Uzumaki Life: It's Positive

It was bright and sunny morning in Konoha and the home of the newlyweds, Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki, was silent. Sprawled out on the newly bought queen size bed was a sleeping Naruto, snoring as usual. Suddenly a loud scream rang through the house, making the shirtless blonde wake up in shock and fall off the bed and hit his head on the cold hard wooden floor.

"I'm awake! What's going on?! Is there an intruder?! I'll knock him out," Naruto shouted as he jumped up, taking a fighting stance and looked around the bedroom.
Hinata, Naruto's wife, ran out of the adjoining bathroom wearing just a white, oversized t-shirt. "I'm sorry about that Naruto-kun. I, uh… I saw a… spider and it scared me. But don't worry I got it so everything's fine now," she said with a sweet apologizing smile on her face.
"What," Naruto said as he looked at his wife with a confused and blank look. "Awe Hinata, if you were scared by a spider why didn't you wake me to kill it for you," Naruto said with a slight sad look. "Won't Shino tell that you killed it when you see him for training today?"
"No don't worry about it Naruto-kun," Hinata said cheerfully. "I have to hurry and go so why don't you go back to bed," Hinata said cheerfully before giving Naruto and kiss on the cheek.
Naruto blushed and scratched the back of his head. "He-he ok Hinata," he said as he giggled.

Naruto crawled back into his and Hinata's bed and covered back up with thick cream colored comforter.

"I'll be back around lunch maybe, ok," Hinata said as she leaned over and shared a kiss with the husband of her dreams.
Naruto smiled, "Sounds good."

Hours later the sunny, morning sky turned into a dark, starry night and the Uzumaki home was dark except for a single light in the master bedroom. Naruto was fast asleep and his wife Hinata was lying on his chest reading a book that she found while cleaning up her room at the Hyuga compound before moving in with Naruto.

Hinata then closed the book she was reading and held it close to her chest. "Who knew reading something of mom's would make me miss her even more," Hinata thought as she hugged the book. She then sat up, making sure she didn't wake her husband. She then let her held breath out when she saw that he was still asleep. As she was putting the book into the top nightstand drawer the home phone on Naruto's nightstand began to ring. Hinata jumped and tried her hardest to reach over Naruto and answer it before the loud ringing woke up her husband.

When Hinata finally grabbed hold of the phone and stopped its loud, annoying ringing she let out a sigh of relief. Suddenly, without her knowledge, Hinata was pulled down by the sleeping Naruto, who rolled over and hugged her as if she was a teddy bear. She let out a small little "eep" as she pulled down. When she saw that Naruto was still asleep, Hinata smiled and combed his hair threw her fingers. She then heard a small little "hello" coming from the phone.

"I'm so sorry, um hello this is the Uzumaki residence," Hinata said in a sorry but caring voice.
"Oh Hinata, I was worried that you were asleep by now. I'm glad you're not," a familiar voice said.
"Oh hello Sakura," Hinata said cheerfully. "So did you get the results back?"

Hinata then began to listen intensely as Sakura gave an answer to her question. Her eyes went wide. "Really," Hinata said in shock. She then listened to her friend that was on the other line again. "Ok then, thank you so much Sakura. This really means a lot," Hinata said sweetly with a smile. "Ok, bye," Hinata said cheerfully before hanging up the phone. Hinata then lay in the bed, quietly holding tight onto the phone, a huge smile then molded on her face. Then grin then turned into a giggle, and then a laugh. She couldn't contain herself anymore. Hinata finally let out a loud, excited scream as she kicked her feet under the bed covers.

Naruto's eyes then opened wide and he sat straight up. "I'm awake! What's going on," he screamed as he looked around his and his wife's bedroom. He then turned his head toward his wife and saw her face filled with glee and excitement. "Hinata," Naruto said with a raised eyebrow. "She looks more excited about something than when I proposed," he thought. "Hinata are you ok," he asked nervously.

Hinata looked at Naruto with smiling eyes. "Couldn't be any better," she said cheerfully.
Naruto then raised an eyebrow.
Hinata sat up and sat with her legs crossed and sat up straight as she placed her hands, one of them still tightly holding the phone, on her ankles. "Um, Sakura just called," Hinata said as she tucked some of her hair behind her ear with her free hand.
"Ok," Naruto said confused. "What did she want to talk about?"
"Um, well, um you remember when I screamed this morning," Hinata said as a light blush started forming on her cheeks.
"Ya, my head still hurts a little from that," Naruto said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Sorry," Hinata said as she gave her husband an apologizing smile. "But, um, I didn't scream because I saw a spider." Hinata then scratched the back of her left ear.
"So what made you scream," Naruto asked.

Hinata stayed quiet for a while. She then got up, placed the phone that was in her hand on her nightstand, and excitedly walked over to their master bathroom. Naruto sat alone in the bed, confused. Hinata then walked back out and stopped at the foot of the bed, hiding something behind her back. "Lately I haven't been feeling all that well and I started thinking about what could've been wrong with me. So I talked to Sakura and Ino about it when I went to go eat lunch with them a couple days ago and they suggested some things that might have been it. And then this morning I, um, took a, um, test to see if one of the things Sakura and Ino suggested could've been it. And, um, well, I went to go see Sakura today see if the, um, home test was right because Hospital test are more accurate than home test. And, um, well," Hinata's face then began to flush red.

"Well what? Are you ok, you're not sick are you," Naruto asked, concern.
Hinata shook her head no. "Like I said I couldn't be any better." Hinata then rocked on her heals and toes for a few seconds. "Anyway Sakura called to tell me the results, and, well, um." Hinata then brought out what was behind her back and showed it to Naruto. "I'm pregnant," she screamed, sounding happy and embarrassed.
Naruto stared at the little Pregnancy Test stick that had two little blue lines shown on it. He kept staring at it quietly.
"Naruto-kun, are you ok," Hinata asked.
Naruto just kept staring at the stick. He then jumped up and hugged Hinata. "Yay, we're going to be parents! I get to be a dad," screamed as he hugged his wife.
It took Hinata a while to process what was going on. After she finished processing she started giggling and hugged her husband back.
